2009
Our first foals by Five Star have arrived. In October, StPr Wolandia gave us a lovely black/brown filly. Wolandia did her usual 5 minute foaling, and once again, we hardly had made the 3 minute walk to her box, her foal was already delivered. This is Wolandia's 2nd filly for us and we will keep her, as well as Hightime by Hotline, to add to our group of broodmares. We have named the filly, Fortuna. Wolandia is once again in foal to Five Star
Our next mare, StPr Rudina, produced a bay colt. He is a very correct, elegant foal, with potential to be a Licensed stallion as well as a dressage horse. Rudina is one of the most exceptional mares of her year in Germany, which is an important qualification, when thinking about keeping a youngster as a potential stallion. We have just sold her 2yr old filly, Kariba, by the World Champion Dressage Stallion, Kaiserkult (Trak). We named our new colt, Five O'Clock as he was foaled on the dot of 5pm. Rudina is in foal to Five Star again for Oct. 2010.

In December, our 2 new broodmares arrived from Germany. Both arrived well, and came out of Cape Town Quarantine just before Christmas. Our 5yr old, StPr Helvita, is in foal to the new young star in Germany, Royal Classic. Our 2nd young mare, Rosenstolz, is rising 4yrs, and also STATE Premium A, but has had a ridden career, so we will wait to put her in foal with Five Star in 2010.

2010
Our new mare, Helvita, produced a lovely filly in February. A tall elegant bay filly, with beauty and presence. Her name is Regalia, and we also plan to add her to our growing herd of Hanoverian broodmares.

May is here and the vineyard is quiet, giving us time to do more work on the "horseside" of things. We love living on a hill, but lack of flat ground, makes it difficult to train, and next year, start competing the horses. We have taken the decision to build an indoor riding school, which is now under construction. If the weather is kind to us, it should be finished by August.

2011

The indoor school is finally finished and it is amazing to be able to ride the horses after such a long wait. We have both the young stallions, Status Quo II (Stedinger-Quattro B) and Quantico (Quaterback-Salieri) under rider as well as Five Star. This year there are 3 foals due by Five Star out of State Premium dams, and 2 due from imported semen from Germany. We sell the foals and youngsters born in South Africa with the eligibility of German Hannoveraner passports or SAWHS passports. This makes sure our standards remain on the same high level as one has, when buying a pedigree youngster in Germany.
